Hundreds turn out to see Transit of Venus |

GRANDVILLE - Approximately 200 people came to Grandville Middle School to check out the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the "Transit of Venus."

Volunteers had a couple of telescopes and computer screens set up for people to check out the astronomical event.  Kids who showed up at 6pm got first looks, then adults formed a line in the field to get their peek.

A steady stream of people came and went through the evening, just like the sun came and went through scattered clouds.
