The Pink Panther Strikes Again

The Pink Panther Strikes Again

"The Pink Panther Strikes Again" will be presented by Grandville High School on January 31st, February 1st and 2nd at 7:00pm. We all remember Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau in the Pink Panther movies for some of the most bizarre and dangerous capers he was involved in. This would be a great time to reminisce and go and enjoy the efforts of everyone involved in this production.

Adult tickets are $7.00, student and seniors $5.00 and are available at the door. Advance ticket sales available by calling 616-254-6334.

According to a state news release, "Each title on the 2013 list gives readers insight into what it means to make your home in Michigan and proves some of the greatest stories are indeed found in the Great Lakes region. The Michigan Notable Books program is “Pure Michigan.”"

Kent District Library gets some indie cred

Kent District Library gets some indie cred

Written by Kyle Austin

The Kent District Library is changing the way we interact with homegrown artistic talent. For years, area libraries considered local, independently produced media for inclusion in their catalogues, but the accepted materials too often stayed buried in the shelves and hidden from patrons' sight. But where other libraries saw a dead end, KDL saw an opportunity to lend a hand to area artists.

"We wondered what we could do to engage and encourage these people; to offer them a venue where they might showcase their talent and be as successful as possible," said Heidi Nagel, KDL communications manager.
