My Town: Clean Water Plant expansion complete

GRANDVILLE, Mich.—The expansion of Grandville’s Clean Water Plant is complete.

Ottawa County’s Public Utilities Department says more than $27 million dollars was invested to renovate and expand the plant, which services Grandville, Georgetown Township, Hudsonville, and portions of Jamestown and Blendon townships.  The plant is one of Michigan’s first egg-shaped anaerobic digesters, with gas cleaning, cogeneration and hot water recovery systems. The plant can now treat an average of 10 million gallons of waste water a day, with a peak flow capacity of 20 million gallons a day.
