Reindeer coming to Hudsonville | Events
Santa's Reindeer will be coming to town this November. The community will be able to find these live reindeer at City Hall where kids and adults alike will gather to celebrate the holidays, following the Hudsonville Holiday Parade.
The parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 19, 2011, starting at 10 am, and will run from Highland Dr., down 32nd Ave, to Central Blvd. Festivities at City Hall will commence immediately following the parade.
"It will be a wonderful family-friendly occasion for folks to come out and enjoy hot chocolate, crème curls, and donuts with their neighbors", said Michelle Fare, Marketing Coordinator for the City of Hudsonville and Executive Director of the Hudsonville Area Chamber of Commerce. "This is a great way to ring in the holiday season with friends and family, while staying close to home and far from difficult parking!"
In addition to seeing the reindeer, children can get their picture taken with Santa Claus, enjoy refreshments, socialize to holiday music and carolers, and even participate in two unique kid-friendly crafts.
Registration for parade entries remains open through November 11. As such, local businesses and community groups are encouraged to pick up an application at the Chamber of Commerce office in City Hall from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday or download a copy at www.hudsonville.org under the events tab.
Volunteer assistance is also needed. Those interested in volunteer opportunities should contact City Hall or Michelle Fare at email@example.com.
