WALKER, Mich. (WZZM) -- After the ceremony at Resurrection Life Church in Grandville, a motorcade led the procession from the edges of Wyoming to walker.
In total, the route was about 18 miles from the church to Rosedale Cemetary.
People lined the streets as the police cruisers and vehicles flew by. Many were holding signs paying tribute to Slot, others holding American flags out of respect for his service.
Many came from local businesses and schools, interupting their day to pay respect.
