Central Elementary Principal Michelle Carter Named MEMSPA Region 9 Principal of the Year
The Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association (MEMSPA) recently awarded Michelle Carter, principal of Central Elementary School, as its Region 9 Principal of the Year.
Presented to just one principal per year within the region (West Michigan area), the award recognizes principals who have exhibited extraordinary
leadership, commitment to their students and faculty, service to their communities and contributions to the profession. Carter’s nomination was accompanied by strong support from teachers, parents, and school district administrators.
Superintendent Caniff noted, “Michelle Carter is a strong advocate for children. She is rightfully proud of the students, families, and staff at Central and passionately represents those she serves.” Mrs. Carter has served as a principal with Grandville Public Schools since 2004.
